#83 is our Very Special Halloween Special – with Special Guest Erin Casteneda!

Join us, children!

Yay! It’s our 3rd Annual Very Special Halloween Special! And we are so lucky to have our dear friend (and big-time horror movie fan) Erin Casteneda along for the fun! We picked a couple of real Halloween mood-setters for this time around, and our first film is…

Tales of Halloween! This 2015 film contains 10 different stories set on Halloween, and all in the same small town. Eleven different directors (all fans of the genre) collaborated to make this seasonal gem, and I couldn’t wait to share this one with Keith and Erin.

One of the many gorgeous characters in Tales of Halloween

As to whether or not they liked it? You know how to find out! Next, we visited a classic from 1976: Alice, Sweet Alice, directed by Alfred Sole and starring, in her first movie roll ever, Brooke Shields!

Soooooooooo young…

This is one that I have loved from way back, it being such a great proto-slasher and all. I knew Erin would be into it because, hey, it’s 70’s horror, but I was curious how Keith would react…

How I imagined Keith’s expression when first seeing this film…

How he probably really reacted…

Alice, Sweet Alice features one of the best and earliest masked killers in slasherdom…

It was released several times under different names, and I tried to include the posters for all of them below. Be sure to scroll down and check them out!

Of course we also talk about what’s been entertaining us lately, and we announce our next film as well. We hope you join our Halloween celebration, because we really want to know…

Have You Seen This One?

Jay
