#165 Our 7th Annual Christmas Special! Santa Claus Conquers The Martians & Ugly Sweater Party!

Merry Christmas!

Seasons greetings (a bit late), HYSTOphiles! Welcome to our 7th Annual Christmas Special! This year set Keith up with two films from to very different time periods, but they both celebrate the holiday in their own special way!

First up on the menu is the 1964 sci-fi Xmas fest Santa Claus Conquers The Martians!

Is Santa using kung-fu here?

This movie features the first screen appearance of Pia Zadora, so of course we had to invite Shawna West to join us to discuss this Xmas Xlassic!

There’s Pia on the left. Can you feel her star power?

Our 2nd film is 2018’s Ugly Sweater Party!

So Christmas-sy!

Our good friend Kellie Arnold joins us for this holiday romp at a summer camp (don’t ask…).

Naturally we also talk about what’s been entertaining us lately, and Keith let’s me know what movie I’ll be watching for Episode #166!

We hope you don your gay apparel and join our movie party, ’cause we really do want to know…

Episode #164 – House On Haunted Hill – 1959 & 1999!

Oh! You want to freshen up first? Here…

Welcome back, HYSTOphiles! You’re just in time to join us on a trip through time! We’re discussing the films House On Haunted Hill 1959 (starring Vincent Price) and House On Haunted Hill 1999!

Mr. Price looking obviously innocent…

And because we are comparing two movies we had to invite our friend Shawna West along for the fun!

Geoffrey Rush as a modern-day Price…

We also talk what’s been making us smile lately, and before we go we announce the movies we’ll be covering for our 7th Annual Christmas Special!

We hope you join us for our movie party, because we really do want to know…

Episode #162 has us going to Paris, France to visit the Moulin Rouge! Because we Can Can Can!

…because we can can can!

Bonjour, HYSTOphiles! Welcome to Episode #162! This time around I had Keith watch the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film Moulin Rouge!

And the gang’s all here!

I’ve wanted Keith to see this movie ever since he made me watch The Greatest Showman. I really felt like these two movies have a lot in common, and I wanted to see how Keith felt about it…

Well, this is how I felt about it…

We also discuss what’s been entertaining us lately (LOTS of HORROR), and I let Keith know what’s in store for Episode #163.

We really hope you join us for our movie party, because we really do want to know…

Episode #161 – our 7th ANNUAL HALLOWEEN SPECIAL! With Latrice Carter & Kellie Arnold!

Happy Halloween!

Welcome HYSTOphiles! It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And, because of that, we have another amazing Halloween Special for your enjoyment! We have a double-feature again this time around, and the BEST guests to talk about them! Our first film is The Midnight Hour, a 1985 TV movie that was inspired by Michael Jackson’s video Thriller.

Yeah, so I was in this video you might have seen. LOTS of zombies…

Latrice Carter joins us for this one, because it’s Halloween, and this is an 80’s movie! (Oh yeah: we also just LOVE when we get to hang with her!)

Latrice and I hanging out…

Our second feature is a film from 2004. It’s Hellbent, a very queer slasher flick!

The “queer eye” has it…

Our dear friend (& good luck charm!) Kellie Arnold joins us for this one, and I was proud to be able to tell her that no animals were harmed making this film. PLUS: the killer is way hot…

WAY hot…

Keith and I also talk about what’s been entertaining us lately, and all four of us talk about what we watch every year in celebration of Halloween!

We really hope you join our movie party, because we really do want to know…

Episode #160 brings us back to The Bates Motel…it’s Psycho II!

He’s baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

HYSTO? #160 is all about the 1983 sequel to Psycho…it’s Psycho II, starring none other than the original Norman Bates, Mr. Anthony Perkins!

Looking as sane as ever…

And talk about timing! Exactly one year after they joined us to talk about the 1960 classic Psycho, Elle & Brent Garrison are back with us again to talk about the sequel! We all definitely noticed the differences between the original film and this update on the story…

…but, thankfully, some things never change…

We also talk about what’s been entertaining us lately, AND we announce what movies will be on our double-feature, super special 7th Annual Halloween Special!!! We hope you join our movie party, because we really do want to know…

Maybe things are a bit different this time around, huh John???

We had a lot of fun talking about this film. Did I like it? Do I recommend it? You know how to find out!

Okay, no movie is that bad…

We also share what’s been entertaining us lately, and I let Keith know what sequel to a famous movie we will cover for Episode #160!

We really hope you join our movie party, because we really do want to know…

Episode #158 takes us to Sweden, where we “Let The Right One In”

Welcome back, HYSTO-philes! We are back with Episode #158, which takes us to Sweden for the 2008 film Let The Right One In

The Right One? Would that be me?

Our good friend Shawna West asked me recently it I had seen this movie, and it reminded me of HOW MUCH I LOVE it! So, naturally, we invited her to come talk about it on the show!

And it’s such a sweet movie…sort of…

We had so much fun making Keith watch this movie! We really thought he would love it as much as we did. Did he? Well, you know how to find out!

I promise you: this was NOT his reaction…

Of course you know we’re also going to talk about what’s been entertaining us lately, and Keith lets me know what movie I’m watching for the next episode! HINT: it’s a Stephen King adaptation! (Yeah, I know; that doesn’t narrow it down much…)

Episode #157 takes us to Belfast

Welcome to Episode #157, HYSTO-philes! This time around we are traveling to Ireland in the year 1969 to see the 2021 film by Kenneth Branagh, Belfast.

Our good friend Kellie Arnold recommended this one to me a long time ago, so I knew she had to come along with us for this cinematic trip. We both were pretty sure Keith would like the film, but you never know how a movie will affect someone…so you’ll have to tune in to find out his reaction!

Speaking of reacting to a film…

Of course we discuss what’s been entertaining us lately, and I also let Keith know what movie is in store for him next time! (Hint: Swedish Vampire Horror!)

Swedish? Vampire? Hmmm…

We really do hope you join us for our movie party, because we really do want to know…

Greetings HYSTO-philes, and welcome to our 6th Anniversary Episode! It’s hard to believe we’ve been doing this for six years…the time has gone by so fast! Anniversary or not, we wasted no time getting down to business and discussing a 70’s classic: it’s 1975’s The Stepford Wives!

Ladies! Thank you for dressing up for little old us!

And, of course, since we are discussing a 70’s horror film, our good friend Erin Casteneda joined us for this trippy ride!

…and we do mean trippy…

Naturally we also talk about what’s been keeping us entertained lately, and Keith does his best to answer my “6 Questions for 6 Years” Anniversary Quiz!

We really do hope you join us for our 6th Anniversary movie party, because we really do want to know…
