Episode #88 has taken FLIGHT!

Nope. Nothing wrong here.

HYSTOphiles! Get ready for FLIGHT, starring the amazing Denzel Washington and directed by the we’ve-already-talked-about-how-talented-he-is Robert Zemeckis! This 2012 film features some of the most harrowing flight scenes I’ve ever seen on film.

Fasten your seatbelts…

Keith picked this one, and it was not at all what I was expecting. I will go ahead and tell you: it’s a terrific film! Denzel Washington is fantastic as “Whip” (no surprise). John Goodman has a small part, but he steals every scene he’s in. So worth watching!

These two. Amazing…

As usual we also talk about what’s been keeping us entertained lately, and I announce my movie choice for the next episode! We hope you join us, because we really do want to know…

Flight – 2012

It’s time to have yourself a HYSTO little Christmas! It’s Episode #87, our 4th Annual Christmas Special!

Merry Christmas!

Happy holidaze, HYSTOphiles! We’re back with our 4th Annual Christmas show! It was my turn to pick the movie so instead of going my usual horror route I decided to family-film-it and make Keith watch one of my all-time favorite Hollywood musicals, Meet Me In St. Louis, starring the legendary Judy Garland!

And she never looked lovelier…

Keith is famously NOT a fan of musicals, but with Cabaret and Hedwig and the Angry Inch I have been changing his mind film by film. Well except for Spice World, for which he may never forgive me…

Ooh! Spice World!

After we talk about the film we rate the movies we’ve made each other watch . Keith really surprised me with his choices, but you’ll have to listen in to find out what that surprise was all about!

We hope you join us for our Christmas celebration, because we really do want to know…

Meet Me In St. Louis – 1944

#86 – Apocalypto – aka Mel Gibson does Disney rated “R”…

Welcome back, HYSTOphiles! We’re so glad to be back, and as we continue our journey through the holiday season we bring you this classic, heartwarming Christmas movie…JUST KIDDING!

Hey! You don ‘t have to get mad about it!

Keith’s pick this time is the 2006 Mel Gibson film Apocalypto. Definitely NOT a holiday classic, but definitely a DISNEY FILM (the last “R” rated film under the Disney moniker!). You’ll have to listen in to see what I thought about it. No spoilers here!

It’s the incredible origin story of Blue Man Group…

We also do our usual entertainment talk: what we’ve been watching lately and what movie we’ll cover next time for our Christmas show! We sure do hope that you join us, because we really do want to know…
